• Clear purpose of learning Japanese
• Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N5
• Completion of at least 12 years of formal education or candidate for completion
• Within 5 years after graduating from last school
• Age 18–30
• Ability to enter Japan legally
• Financial sponsor with sufficient financial ability

• Screening based on submitted application documents and interview with applicant and financial sponsor
