• likely to be permitted to enter Japan by legitimate procedures
• able to prove the Japanese proficiency required for each course by public examination results
• able to receive reliable expense payment during enrollment and prove it
• 6 months course requires JLPT N3 or equivalent
• 1 year course requires JLPT N4 or equivalent
• 1 year 6 months course requires JLPT N5 or equivalent
