Completed or expected to complete 12 years of school education or equivalent, age 18 or older, completed at least 150 hours of Japanese study or has Japanese ability equivalent to JLPT N5, able to submit immigration application documents and pay all study-abroad living expenses, no past non-issuance history for any Japanese status of residence
