Academy of Language Arts

• Completed foreign high school or equivalent
• Have ability to pay all expenses during stay in Japan
• Have a valid reason for studying Japanese
• Have JLPT N5-equivalent Japanese ability (conditions apply)
• Have 150+ hours of Japanese study (self-study allowed) if not graduated from university/junior college
• Provide documents proving N5-equivalent ability if not graduated from university/junior college
• Provide proof of Japanese ability depending on course (e.g.
• N5/N4-equivalent documents and/or ALA oral test)
• Submit required documents and complete screening based on application content

• Conduct in-school screening based on the contents of the application form
