Completed 12+ years of formal education (or equivalent), Completed secondary education required for university admission in home country (e.g., high school graduation or equivalent), Can submit proof of 150+ hours of Japanese study or have passed JLPT level 5 or above (Advanced Study Course), Has a guarantor during stay in Japan or home country, Graduated from a university in home country (major not required) (General Employment Course), Has JLPT N3 or equivalent Japanese ability at time of application (General Employment Course), Can submit proof of 400+ hours of Japanese study or have passed JLPT level 4 or above (Specified skill 1 year course)
