completed 12-year school education or equivalent courses, passed a test equivalent to A1 level or higher of the Reference Framework for Japanese Language Education as recognized by the Ministry of Justice, permitted to enter the country or expected to be permitted, reliable contact person or finance guarantor, clear purpose to study abroad, basic academic ability to study in Japanese schools, sponsor able to financially cover the student during their stay in Japan
