ISI Japanese Language School, EJU Preparation Course
by Master240 on Apr 5, 2026
Hi everyone! I’ll be moving to Japan in a few months to study at ISI Japanese Language School. I’m planning to stay for about a year and a half, taking their EJU preparation course.
I wanted to ask if anyone here has studied at ISI before. Does the program only focus on the Japanese language section of the EJU, or does it also cover subjects like math, physics, and chemistry?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience with the school, especially regarding how well it prepares students for the full EJU.

A language school is fairly obviously only going to cover the *language* portions of the course. They may cover some specific language from the other sections of the EJU, but they're not going to give you any academic preparation for those sections.

Well, yes, but from what I've researched, they do prepare you in those subjects, but at an additional cost. But if it turns out to be as you say, do you have any recommendations?

They would do so by sending you to another school that's actually licensed to teach those subjects, or by hiring tutors who are so licensed.
